Hotel “Sofitel Legend Metropole”

The hotel is emblematic.

It is a luxury hotel in colonial and neoclassical style. It is impeccably restored with exquisite design. It is elegant and refined. They take care and pamper all the details so that all the places are impeccable; and they get it.

It is worth losing a few minutes to contemplate the facade. The building is white and uniform. All windows are the same. There is neither a balcony nor a terrace. The ground floor is full of luxury shops; most are jewelry stores.

It occupies an entire block and they have taken advantage of the center of it to make an oasis of tranquility that is difficult to get out of. The garden has different areas. There are green areas with benches to enjoy reading or resting moments. But it is true that much of life is done around the pool and the gazebo.

It has 364 rooms and suites (it is not small) of the same colonial style. They are spacious and very comfortable. They are all very cool; but if I have to recommend some of them, I am clearly in favor of those in the old part. This area has respected the originality of the historic "Metropole" wing; while the "Opera" wing has neoclassical elegance. All rooms are equipped with internet and LCD.

On the ground floor there are several restaurants offering international and local cuisine. They are quite prestigious in the city. "Le Beaulieu" in French cuisine and with a good brunch, in "Spice Garden" they offer Vietnamese cuisine both in the covered and open-air dining room and the "Angelina" with Italian cuisine and DJs every night. Physically, the latter is the most modern and the most spectacular!

Breakfasts can be tasted in different areas. I recommend having breakfast in the gazebo by the pool. I was very comfortable there.

It also has a luxurious spa "Le Spa du Metropole" and gym.

The hotel is fantastic, but I have to highlight its location. It is in the heart of Hanoi, very close to Hoan Kien Lake, the Opera and the Old Quarter.

I recommend booking a room, as there are always groups of companies that fill it.
