I really wanted to go. I liked to read that Romain Fornell (Café Turó, La Taverna del Mar and Caelis) was making fun gastronomy creations at the Ohla hotel. I went there and, as always, I enjoyed a lot!

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel. It is bold and elegant.

The cellar is huge and modern at the same time. It's at the entrance, right next to the stairs. Glass, aluminum and wines. Nothing more. Next to the cellar is the bar where you can eat and have views of the kitchen... wow... those things that those of us who like gastronomy appreciate so much: being able to see the artists creating! Directly opposite is a long row of small tables. Sofas on one side and chairs on the other. Colored glasses, garish lights and abstract works on the windows... it's not a conventional place!

Type: tapas and dishes to share. Innovation without forgetting tradition... Romain's style.

  • Tuna salad with 4 types of tomatoes and salmorejo - I loved the idea of salmorejo as a base. Although the tomato is already a refreshing product by itself, the salmorejo still gives an extra. It is a perfect dish for summer.
  • Tuna tartare with ponzu sauce, citrus syrup and oil caviar - Great staging for a tartare. Elegant plate. The mixture of flavors of the tuna with the citrus was amazing for me. Really good the caviar oil!
  • Oysters in tempura with oyster leaf, lime and Japanese mayonnaise - Surprising dish. I had never tasted oysters in tempura and even less so with an oriental touch... amazing! One of the star dishes, without a doubt.
  • Ham and shrimp croquettes with shrimp mayonnaise and fried shrimp - Delicious. My favorites? the shrimp ones. I think the mayonnaise base is very original.
  • Catalan style cod with spinach, raisins, pine nuts and mango chutney - Art on the plate! This is a clear example that they offer innovative traditional dishes. The mango chutney is the contrast that gives strength to the dish. Cool!
  • Sea and mountain rice with squid, crispy ham, mussels and sobrassada - Another of the star dishes. Rice with ham, mussels and sobrassada? Really tasty.
  • Suckling pig with yogurt and peach sauce - The suckling pig has been cooked with love and for a long time. It is noticeable with the concentrated flavor; but I think that the yogurt and the peach give it the necessary fresh point. Good meeting!
  • Pear mousse with white chocolate - It is a trick! I won't tell you the secret, but I do recommend that you try it!
  • Cheese cake with coulis, mousse, and raspberry ice cream - Intense and really good. I love it.

Lovely place in Barcelona to share special dishes.
