I did not expected to enjoy so much!

It is true that they had spoken to me well and it is also true that the photos and comments that I saw on the networks excited me a lot; but I always think "we'll see". The restaurant is located in the center of Sant Cugat; specifically, it is between two locations that I frequent a lot and it made me not understand why I had not been before or even because I had not seen it!

I went one day during the week in the middle of summer and just when the Covid alarm state had been raised. I really liked that the discretion it has at street level is consistently maintained inside. It has a simple decoration, without many flourishes or complications. The walls are gray, the wood tables are thick and the chairs are white. I don't know if it was because of Covid or practicity, but the tables were not set, which surprised me.

The place has two areas: the one at the entrance with views of the street and the one at the back that has no window. They put me in the background, which gave me more privacy. I appreciated it.

In this restaurant they are not for nonsense. Their priority is to offer good dishes. They are focus on job.

Type: market and seasonal cuisine where the quality of the product is prioritized. They are especially sensitized with the proximity product; in fact, they only work with small suppliers. They offer traditional dishes and innovative dishes; but all are pampered and made with soul. Marcos Pujadas defines himself as self-taught, but he has trained at the Hofmann and has worked in different kitchens with Michelin stars... really good CV! I had the opportunity to eat:

  • Crispy crawfish tartar pie with its juice and confit leeks - An amazing dish. It is refined and very tasty at the same time. Pie is very fine. The leek gives it a very special taste and is placed in right amount so as not to cancel out the taste of the crawfish ; which, by the way, is generously distributed. The juice is awesome.
  • Fried calamari, lemon zest, and kimchi mayonnaise - It's very good; but, without a doubt, it is the weakest dish of those chosen. The product is good quality and the fried is perfect, but perhaps the most remarkable thing is the kimchi mayonnaise. The lemon zest seemed original to me, although it seemed a little scanty.
  • Potato foam, low-temperature egg, foie and truffle - It is one of the star dishes. As I ate it, I wasn't able to look up. The potato foam is very soft and the mix with the other products makes it a unique dish. No one can leave without trying it. Very tasty.
  • Morels in cream with foie gras - Another star dish. Morels and foie are two of my downfalls... imagine having them together! It's a heavy dish, but it's worth to try it. It's delicious.

Llegué a los postres justita y sólo probé el pastel de queso Dos Cucharas. Estaba bueno, pero la presentación mejorable.

I arrived full to dessert time. I only tried the Dos Cucharas cheesecake. It was good, but the presentation could be improved.

I recommend book a table before you go, as the place is small.

It has been a great discovery. I will return a thousand times more.

Price: High. From 40€
