It is, without a doubt, one of my favorite restaurants in Menorca. I visit it nearly every year. It has a special charm.

The building is elegant and rustic at the same time. Just getting out of the car I breathed an great calm. The tranquility and silence made me drop the revs immediately. Something that, every day, I like and appreciate more.

On the main facade there are some tables that deceive. At first, one might think that this is the restaurant; but seeing that there is no one, instinct invites you to enter inside the building. Immediately one is already in the Jardí dels Ullastres. The tables, very well placed, under these trees so characteristic of the island, create an amazing landscape.

Next it is the swimming pool of the same hotel. Candle lighting and ambient lighting make the garden so amazing that I always prefer to go at night.

The service is really good. Leaving aside Jaume, who is the soul of everything and deserves a separate mention, the team is very attentive to everything that happens in the garden, but respecting the space and privacy of people. The sensitivity is extreme.

Type: delicate cuisine with seasonal products. There is the option of eating at carte or choosing the tasting menu. I have tried both of them. Last time I ate Menú de l'Amo:

  • Appetizers
    • Vegetable cream of the day - Delicious and elegant way to start the menu.
    • Selection of cheeses from Menorca - Nothing to say. There is no need to comment on the quality of the island's cheeses. They are really good.
  • Starters
    • Egg yolks and Santa Catalina chorizo, potato, sweet potato and mushrooms - Star dish, above all, for the surprising mix of products. To highlight the quality. I would have repeated!
    • Calabacines rellenos - Otro plato curioso y delicioso. El calabacín lo sirven con tomate y setas.
    • Stuffed zucchini - Another curious and delicious dish. Zucchini is served with tomato and mushrooms.
  • Main Dishes
    • Sea bass in "panadera" - Uncomplicated dish where the quality of the product is appreciated.
    • Premium cut of the entrecote (high loin, boneless) - So cute I would also have repeated!

As they say: "Gastronomy is the art that uses the five senses".

I never find the time to leave. It is one of the places that I like the most in the Balearic Islands.

The restaurant is located in the middle of a little-used road that leads to an uncrowded beach, which makes it far from mass tourism. Much better this way, right?
